Our Ujitawara Home Base
We’re building a small tasting room and retail space in Ujitawara, Kyoto—minutes from multi-generation farms. It’s where we cup new harvests, blend with our tea master, and welcome guests for a mountain-side matcha experience.

Location & Access
We are located in Ujitawara, Kyoto—a small mountain town in the heart of Uji-grown tea.
By Train
- From Kyoto Station JR to Uji Station (approx. 20–30 min), then taxi (20–30 min) to Ujitawara.
- From Osaka JR to Uji Station, then taxi to Ujitawara.
By Car
- Parking1 compact space on site (subject to availability).
- Nearby Free road parking outside the premise.
Notes
- AccessibilityLocated on a Ujitawara mountain side the driveway entering the space is steep. Please let us know in advance if you need assistance.
- ChildrenWelcome; please supervise as this is a mountain location with steep grades.
Wholesale Cuppings
Retailers, cafés, and tea buyers can schedule a focused cupping of single cultivars and house blends. Bring your target profile—we’ll taste toward it.
Farm Days
Occasional grower meet-ups and seasonal visits (weather permitting). Priority for Tea Circle subscribers and trade partners.

One-on-one guidance on whisking technique, water profiles, and recipe development for cafés and culinary teams.

Do you take walk-ins?
Absolutely! Although we’re operating by appointment-only until the tasting counter and retail space renovation is completed.
Is there a shop to purchase matcha?
A small retail space is planned. For now, you can purchase on our website where shipping is available in the United States.
