Stone-milled in micro-lots by the legendary Hiroshi, Uji’s only Judan Chashi (Level 10 Tea Master) and one of fewer than ~15 such masters in all of Japan, Shogyoku represents a standard of excellence rarely achieved. His family has been producing tea in Uji since 1827, and his unmatched sensory mastery brings Samidori’s natural sweetness, creaminess, and luminosity into perfect harmony.

Grown in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, on a historic family estate established in 1827, this Samidori is produced by Hiroshi — Uji’s only Level 10 Tea Master (Judan Chashi). His precision in field management, shading, and steaming elevates Samidori to its purest form.

By harvesting once each year and selecting only the softest spring growth, Hiroshi ensures Shogyoku reflects the pinnacle of Uji craftsmanship: sweet, vibrant, and impossibly smooth.

Koicha (Thick Tea): Knead 1.5–2 tsp with 1–1.5 oz hot water using slow, deliberate strokes to unlock its rich umami and creamy sweetness.
