Special Selection Premium Ceremonial Matcha – Okumidori (20g Tin)
Single Cultivar | First Harvest | Shade-Grown | Stone-Milled
Toasty, nutty, and deeply satisfying — our Special Selection Okumidori is a premium Uji matcha made for those who love complexity and richness. Grown under shade for over 26 days, this first flush, single-cultivar matcha delivers a uniquely warm and layered flavor profile unlike any other in the Origin Uji lineup.
Harvested in early spring and stone-milled in small batches, Okumidori develops a bold but balanced character with notes of roasted chestnut and green walnut. It’s an approachable ceremonial matcha that still honors the craft of single origin, deep shading, and small-scale production.
Tasting Notes:
- Flavor: Nutty, toasty, roasted green walnut
- Texture: Deep, round, creamy

About Okumidori Cultivar:
Originally cultivated for its flavor density and smooth bitterness, Okumidori is one of Uji’s most resilient and expressive matcha cultivars. Its toasty, savory backbone makes it a favorite among tea masters looking for complexity over sweetness — perfect for lattes or contemplative usucha.
Earthy, rich, and quietly bold — this is everyday luxury.
