How to Make a Hot Matcha Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon (2g) matcha powder
  • 2 oz (60ml) hot water (175°F / 80°C)
  • 6 oz (180ml) milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond, or soy)
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water Boil water and let it cool for about 5 minutes until it reaches 175°F (80°C).
  2. Sift matcha Sift matcha powder into a bowl.
  3. Whisk matcha Add hot water and whisk until frothy.
  4. Froth milk Heat and froth the milk separately.
  5. Pour milk Pour the frothed milk over the matcha.
  6. Enjoy Sweeten if desired and enjoy!
Tip: Avoid using boiling water, as it can make the matcha taste bitter.
